Bracket Fungi
Bracket fungi, also known as polypores or shelf fungi, are characterized by their shelf-like or bracket-like growth form, typically on wood. They are often tough, woody, and persistent. Many, but not all, have a dense layer of pores on their underside instead of gills. This list includes several common bracket fungi found in British Columbia, with information based on species accounts from E-Flora BC.
